Weezy’s little girl is stuntin’ like her daddy.
The Young Money crew welcomes its newest member, Reginae Carter. The 14-year-old singer, formerly of The OMG Girlz, will be taking her talents to the label her father, Lil Wayne, has made famous. During Cash Money’s Pre-Grammy party, Rap-Up TV caught up with Young Money president Mack Maine and announced, "Wayne’s daughter, Reginae, is actually signed to Young Money now."
Mack Maine sang Reginae’s praises and insists she is destined for success because of her talented blood line. "Just expect greatness. She’s Toya [Wright's] daughter and Wayne’s daughter, so that’s a great combination. She’s a mega-star."
In 2010 Reginae left the OMG Girlz, a group assembled by Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, before the trio became a teen pop success. The young Carter will have a lot of pressure on her to bring it as a solo act given that she is the heiress to the Young Money throne.
Mack Maine also revealed some other recent signings by the label which include newbies PJ Morton, Torion Sellers and We the Future.
“Right now, I’m trying to get the Young Money young’ns going,” said Maine.
