John Cena has been WWE’s most pushed star of the last decade. He is the face of the company and a merchandise machine. Not a month goes by that Cena doesn’t debut/promote a new piece merchandise on WWE TV. It is truly impressive. Cena works hard for his money, mind. In fact, nobody in WWE works harder than Cena does (except maybe Vince McMahon). He is on the road all year and makes more personal appearances than anyone else. His downside guarantee is around $3m but he is also given first class travel (including the McMahon’s own private jet), his own tour bus and around 6% of merchandise sales. Six percent might not sound like a huge number, but this is John Cena we’re talking about. That figure adds up to millions of dollars per year.
