Zayn Malik takes a VERY public swipe at ex-fiancée Perrie Edwards as he makes a not-so-subtle dig at Little Mix on Twitter

He's kept quiet about his recent split from ex-fiancée, Perrie Edwards, after dumping her via text message earlier this month.

But former One Direction star Zayn Malik, 22, made his feelings towards the pop princess very clear as he made a not-so-subtle dig at Little Mix on Sunday over Twitter.

Taking a rather public swipe at his former flame, the British heartthrob retweeted a message from another account which asked followers to 'retweet' if they think Little Mix rivals Fifth Harmony have 'the better single', or 'favourite' for Perrie's band's single.

Zayn retweeted in favour of Fifth Harmony, with his message showing up on his account to his 15.4million followers.

The ex-1D singer offered little commentary to his tweet - but choosing Fifth Harmony over his ex's band Little Mix spoke volumes about his current opinion of her.

Zayn's retweet led to the hashtag #ZaynHasNoChill trending on the micro-blogging site, as his fans went head-to-head with Perrie's in a Twitter spat.
