Ashanti was forced to rehash her troubling experience with her stalker, Devar Hurd, for the third time in a New York courtroom on Wednesday. The Grammy-winning singer was cross-examined by the longtime stalker, who opted to represent himself in the case
Hurd, who was convicted in 2009 of stalking and harassing Ashanti's family, is facing a felony stalking charge for tweeting sexually explicit messages to the singer. .
The 33-year-old cross-examined Ashanti and read back graphic tweets that included one stating, "eating pu**y from the back tastes better from a flight to Russia."
Ashanti had to relive the nightmare of his disgusting messages that were sent to her and her family. Hurd even texted photos of his genitals to Ashanti's mother and manager, Tina Douglas. The disturbed man claimed the photos were gifts.
The singer testified, "You continuously tweeted over and over again disgusting, derogatory, disrespectful things to me after you had already gone to jail for doing the same thing."
Ashanti told her stalker, "I wish you to stop. I just wish you to stop."
Hurd claims he had a fling with the singer and responded by saying, "Ya’ll twisted and two-faced. This will never happen again, believe that!"
