A badly decomposed body has been discovered at a Scottish beauty.
The human remains were discovered in hilly woodland around 60ft from a single track road on the eastern side of the Cobbler at Arrochar, Argyll and Bute on Thursday.
Police Scotland said an investigation had been launched but inquiries were still at a very early stage. The remains are due to undergo a full examination.

A spokesman said: 'Police Scotland can confirm human remains were found in a rural location near to Arrochar on Thursday January 9.
'Further examination of the remains will take place.The inquiry is at a very early stage and nothing further is available at this time.'
A forensics tent had been set up on an area of steep hillside where the body was discovered.
A police spokesman said earlier reports that the body had had its head and hands removed were entirely untrue.
There has been some speculation that the body could be that of murdered bookkeeper Suzanne Pilley.

The 34-year-old went missing on May 4, 2010, but her body has never been found.
Police hunting for Miss Pilley's body had scoured an area five miles away from where the latest body was found
Miss Pilley's former lover David Gilroy, who was found guilty of the murder, had driven along the A83 close to where the remains were found.
However an unnamed police source is reported to have said the body is not that of the Ms Pilley however there has been no official confirmation.
